1. FC Köln have signed Jakub Kaminski on a permanent deal after activating their purchase option following the 2025-26 season.
According to BuLi News, the 23-year-old had been on loan from VfL Wolfsburg.
Kaminski featured in all 36 competitive matches in his first campaign, contributing seven goals and five assists for the Cologne side.
Managing director Thomas Kessler said the player impressed from the first conversations, calling him down-to-earth, ambitious and a team player. He added that last season confirmed those traits on and off the pitch, so the club quickly decided to trigger the clause.
Kessler also pointed to Kaminski’s development and performances as evidence that Köln can be a strong destination for ambitious players to grow and take the next step.
Kaminski debuted for Lech Poznan at 17 and won his first Poland cap at 19, building significant experience early.
He appeared at the 2022 World Cup and moved to VfL Wolfsburg the same year, and has since made 104 Bundesliga appearances.
