En route to a 3-0 Danish triumph, Christensen played a leading role from his berth at the heart of defence.

Reliable as ever on the defensive side of the ball, the highlight of the 29-year-old’s showing came just beyond the hour mark, when Christensen found the net courtesy of a brilliant right-footed strike from distance.
