FC Bayern is already making a huge impression weeks before the start of the Bundesliga season. Following the signing of Ismael Saibari, the next major transfer—Nathaniel Brown—is just around the corner—and the competition is looking toward Munich with respect.
While many Bundesliga clubs are still working on their roster planning, FC Bayern has already made it happen. On Wednesday, the German record champions presented their first major summer signing: Ismael Saibari. Just one day later, the next step followed: Nathaniel Brown has arrived in Munich and is undergoing his medical exam.
The left-back from Eintracht Frankfurt is expected to sign a contract through 2031 afterward. According to consistent media reports, Bayern will pay up to 55 million euros for Brown.
With Saibari and Brown, FC Bayern is investing more than 100 million euros in two players who have already impressed at the highest level during the World Cup.
Saibari, playing for Morocco, was one of the tournament’s pleasant surprises and drew attention with several goals. Brown impressed in the DFB jersey, particularly with his dynamism and attacking drive, before Germany was surprisingly eliminated in the round of 32.
Both signings fit into Munich’s strategy of selectively strengthening its already high-caliber roster.
Bayern President Herbert Hainer recently told the Abendzeitung: “We have a very good squad—there’s no question about that. That’s why, if we make any moves, they’ll simply be targeted reinforcements—for both the offense and the defense.”

With these two transfers, the Munich club is sending a clear message to the Bundesliga early on.
Borussia Dortmund has so far signed center back Joane Gadou, while RB Leipzig has bolstered its squad with Rocco Reitz. Both clubs invested around 20 million euros each—significantly less than what FC Bayern spent on Brown or Saibari alone.
For the German record champions, however, it’s not just about keeping domestic rivals at bay. Following their Champions League semifinal exit against Paris Saint-Germain, club officials aim to strategically develop the roster to once again compete at the very top internationally.
Should Brown pass his medical exam as expected, FC Bayern would have signed two of its most important transfer targets within a few days—and made a strong statement early in the summer transfer window.
