The 2026 World Cup in North America is a billion-dollar business. The host nations are hoping to make a big profit. FC Bayern is also cashing in handsomely on the back of numerous signings for the national teams
And not only because players who perform well increase their popularity and possibly their market value, but also because FIFA, the world governing body, pays a daily compensation payment for players who are released by the clubs
FC Bayern provides a total of 18 players and receives almost 3.81 million euros in return, as the Abendzeitung München reports. This makes the record champions one of the teams that benefit most from the World Cup. Only Manchester City, which receives 4.55 million euros, benefits more than the record champions, according to an analysis by the DKB
FC Bayern make up a large block in the DFB squad, with Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala and Lennart Karl in the squad alone. Jonas Urbig is also available as a training goalkeeper

Harry Kane is playing for England and wants to go for the title, as do Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano, who are both playing for the French team
Josip Stanisic has been called up for Croatia, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye and loanee Nicolas Jackson are playing for Senegal, Hiroki Ito is in the Japan squad, Min-jae Kim is in the squad for South Korea, Luis Diaz is playing for Colombia. Konrad Laimer (Austria) and Alphonso Davies (Canada) are also in the squad for the World Cup
For Bayern, it is now all about ensuring that all players return to Munich in good health. Then the World Cup will be a complete success, also in financial terms.
