La Liga giants Real Madrid could soon sanction the sale of a third member of the club’s first-team ranks to Premier League outfit Fulham.
This comes amid the understanding that Thiago Pitarch is the latest Blancos starlet to have made his way firmly into the sights of those in a position of power at Craven Cottage.
The last week has of course seen transfer business between Real Madrid and Fulham dominate the media headlines across Spain and England alike.
After the latter first tied up a big-money agreement for goalscorer Gonzalo García, a similar accord for midfield standout César Palacios followed in short order.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Fulham’s shopping spree in Madrid may not be finished there, either…
As per a report from Marca:
‘The English club’s latest target is Thiago Pitarch. Fulham will continue to look to Valdebebas after the Gonzalo-Palacios ‘double,’ and the young midfielder is their chosen target.’
Talks between the two clubs surrounding midfielder Pitarch are said to be advancing ‘slowly’, albeit with Arbeloa and co. confident of ultimately striking a deal owing to the ‘full willingness’ of the 18-year-old to take his talents to London.
Pitarch made his first-team breakthrough in Spain’s capital under Arbeloa’s watch last season, ultimately racking up 16 appearances between La Liga and the Champions League.
