54,000 expected for OL vs Fenerbahçe as Groupama set for sell-out despite reduced capacity | OneFootball

Groupama Stadium will not be entirely full on Wednesday night, yet OL v Fenerbahçe should still be a sell-out of the available seats.

According to Le Progres, about 54,000 spectators are expected, with segregation around the away section and some blocks kept empty at major matches reducing capacity.

Following the success of the Sparta Prague tie in the third qualifying round second leg, which drew more than 51,000, Lyon should benefit from very strong backing.

Paulo Fonseca hopes for an atmosphere worthy of the biggest occasions, and expects Lyon supporters to mobilise as much as Fenerbahçe’s did in the first leg.

Only a small number beyond 54,000 could be accommodated due to those restrictions.
