64 Italian-based players are left standing at the 2026 World Cup heading into the knock-out rounds, and with no Italy at the tournament, Croatia might be the team for the Serie A neutral to support in the round of 32. But we want to know who you will be supporting for the remainder of the summer – Let us know below!

Croatia feature more Serie A or Serie B representatives than any other nation left at the World Cup with a total of seven, namely Milan’s Luka Modric, Inter’s Petar Sucic, Como’s Martin Baturina, Atalanta’s Mario Pasalic, Torino’s Nikola Vlasic, Bologna’s Nikola Moro and Fiorentina’s Marin Pongracic.

Belgium and Norway hold the second-most Serie A representatives in the remaining World Cup squads with five apiece, the Belgian selections being headlined by Napoli pair Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku. Norway’s Leo Ostigard was the first Serie A player to score at the 2026 World Cup.

France, the Netherlands and Switzerland have four Serie A players each. Marcus Thuram, Adrien Rabiot, Mike Maignan and Manu Kone are among the favourites to win the whole tournament, but they may have to overcome the likes of Donyell Malen, Denzel Dumfries and Teun Koopmeiners in a potential quarter-final match-up.
