We’re getting closer to the January transfer window, and some rumours won’t go away.
One link we’ve heard time after time in recent months connected Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz with various Premier League teams, including Chelsea.

A report from CaughtOffside today claims that the Blues are one of the teams who covet the attacking midfielder, who is having increasing difficulty negotiating a contract extension with Juventus.
“Sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside that the player’s representatives are demanding a salary of around €6 million per year, a figure that Juventus consider too high given their current financial strategy and wage structure,” they write.
Dean Jones from Bleacher Report had previously explained his take on a potential deal for the Turkey star:
“The expectation has always been that Juventus would find a new agreement and talks are now started on those terms. The player has been aware of interest but has not pushed for that to progress so we will have to now see how this contract renewal works out with Juventus.”
As we’ve written before, we have our doubts about how realistic a Yildiz deal is, regardless of his quality as a player:
“Would Yildiz even help this current Chelsea team improve? We should be beyond just hoping another transfer can fix things… but when you see a team create as little as we did on Saturday, it’s hard to not be tempted into thinking that we could do better.
Reece James’ fitness has been a very important part of Chelsea’s season so far, and him remaining fit is going to be essential if we want to win anything.
Chelsea have been alerted to the availability of Antoine Semenyo, who has a £65m release clause active in this upcoming January window.
