‘A Disgrace’ – Serhou Guirassy’s brother lashes out after striker misses African Footballer of the Year Podium | OneFootball

Karamba Guirassy, brother and agent of Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, has condemned the CAF’s decision to leave the Guinean international off the podium for the 2025 African Footballer of the Year award.

The Confederation of African Football announced its three finalists on Sunday: Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), and Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray).In a message published on Instagram Karamba Guirassy described the decision as a “putain de honte” (A F*****ng disgrace) , before highlighting his brother’s achievements over the past year. The Guinean international finished as joint top scorer in the Champions League (13 goals), top scorer at the FIFA Club World Cup, top African goalscorer of 2025, and was ranked 21st in the Ballon d’Or. He was also nominated for FIFA’s Best Striker award and ended the Bundesliga campaign as its second-highest goalscorer.

Guirassy joined Borussia Dortmund from Stuttgart in the summer of 2024 for €18m and has registered 38 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions during his debut campaign.GFFN | George Boxall
