Esperance Tunis defeated Simba 1-0 on Matchday 3 of the CAF Champions League group stage to move top of Group D.

Esperance secure important victory

Esperance Tunis claimed valuable win over Simba SC in the group stage of the CAF Champions League continuing their strong start to the competition.

The match was played on Saturday at 18:00 local time as part of matchday 3 in the group phase. Esperance managed to edge the contest with 1-0 victory earning three crucial points in competitive group.

Group D race tightens

Esperance are placed in Group D alongside Petro Atletico of Angola, Simba of Tanzania and Mali’s Stade Malien.

The win over Simba helped the Tunisian side climb to the top of the table and strengthen their hopes of reaching the knockout rounds.

With this result, Esperance now lead the group after collecting five point from their opening matches.
