Since his arrival last summer, Dani Olmo has not had an easy time at FC Barcelona. Despite this being his first year since his move to the Catalan club, there has been a lot of uncertainty about his future, mainly because of his registration issues with La Liga.

Furthermore, he has also not had an easy time with injuries, as he had to miss several games due to lack of fitness.

Still, the midfielder has impressed in most games that he got to play and in ideal conditions, he would be a regular starter for Hansi Flick.

The Spaniard has also made several public appearances in that time, and in his latest such appearance, MARCA reports how he talked about his life at Barcelona, expectations for the season, and Hansi Flick.

Olmo was asked about the players with whom he would share a room, to which he replied:

“Pedri, Eric, Ferrán. Are we moderate? Not really. The ones who bring the most calm are Pedri and me.”

The Barcelona midfielder also expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to win titles at the end of this season:

“I’m glad that people are excited. I came here to win, and I firmly believe that we have a team capable of everything. We’re still alive in all competitions. The team’s goal is to win.”

The Spaniard also made clear that his team has the ambition to fight for all the titles:

“It’s the ambition of wanting more, and also from the staff, as we all always want more goals. It’s our philosophy. People are enjoying it, and now comes the best part of the season. We are all feeling good and available.”

Olmo expressed his happiness with Hansi Flick and his staff:

“There are moments for everything. When you live together in a team, there are moments for everything. He is very approachable, as is the entire staff. We are very happy.”

The midfielder’s contributions can prove to be key for his Barcelona team at this business end of the season if they are to win the big trophies. Hopefully, he will remain fit for this last stretch of the campaign and put his best performances on display.
