The striker market remains an ongoing topic at FC Bayern – and one name is increasingly coming to the fore: Fisnik Asllani. The 23-year-old attacker from TSG Hoffenheim has become the focus of Munich’s attention. As reported by Sky, initial talks have already taken place between the player and the German record champions.

It has been clear for months that Bayern want to sign an attacker, but preferred candidate Nick Woltemade was too expensive last summer, Nicolàs Jackson was only available on loan – and all indications are that the Chelsea striker will leave after the season.

The search therefore continues, with one name increasingly coming into focus: Fisnik Asllani, who has developed from talent to Bundesliga performer at Hoffenheim.

Transfer insider Florian Plettenberg confirmed on the Sky podcast Mia san vier: „They’re definitely interested in Asllani. Three or four weeks ago, he was still on the shortlist, but now there have been initial talks.“

Asllani, who moved from Union Berlin to Hoffenheim in 2020, has long been at the top of Bayern’s list, with his combination of potential, style of play and moderate release clause making him particularly attractive.

Plettenberg and his colleague Kerry Hau agree: Asllani has a lot of what Bayern is looking for – dynamism, finishing power, intelligence and development potential.

Hau even draws a remarkable comparison: „His style of play reminds me a little of the young Lewandowski.“ This combination makes the Kosovan a perfect project player: already good enough for Bundesliga level, but with a clearly recognizable upside.

Asllani is also considered to be very hard-working, willing to learn and team-oriented – attributes that are traditionally highly valued at Bayern.

Asllani would be ready to grow behind Kane

Another special feature: Asllani himself is said to be open to a backup role. According to Plettenberg, this is not an insignificant factor: „He would be ready to develop behind Kane. He definitely has Bayern potential.“

This attitude sets him apart from many other young strikers who demand immediate regularity, so Bayern see him as a player who can be brought up to world-class level step by step – without conflicting with Kane’s status.

One possible scenario, according to Hau: Bayern sign Asllani – and loan him out for a year to give him more playing time.

Although Asllani is tied to Hoffenheim until 2029, he has an exit clause for the summer of 2026. According to information from Sky, this should be „moderate“ and makes the Kosovan a very interesting candidate financially. His current market value is estimated at 18 million euros.

In addition to Bayern, top clubs such as FC Barcelona and several international clubs are also interested in him.
