Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that RAAL La Louviere are set to bring in Aarau star Elias Filet. The 24-year-old French striker had offers from elsewhere but has been convinced to join former Watford manager Edward Still at RAAL. The transfer is reportedly said to be in the region of €600k. RAAL struggled to score goals consistently last season and it was clear that they needed to strengthen up front. In Filet, it looks like they certainly have a striker capable of finding the net. He now gets the opportunity to step up a level by competing in the Belgian Pro League.

Filet joined Swiss side Aarau back in 2024 from Croatian side NK Istra 1961. He went goalless in his first season, playing just 16 games in the Swiss second tier and domestic cup. This season things changed for the forward. In 40 games he scored 22 goals and provided five assists, with 20 of these goals coming in the league. Once Aarau missed out on promotion, it was clear that Filet would be leaving this summer given his contract only ran until 2027.

He now joins a RAAL side under the leadership of Edward Still, who was sacked by Watford at the end of the season. Still decided to return to management in Belgium and has been given an opportunity by RAAL who finished the season poorly, albeit they were already pretty much guaranteed of safety by the time of the play offs.
