AC Milan have made formal enquiries to Arsenal regarding the availability of teenage prodigy Ethan Nwaneri, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 19-year-old midfielder made headlines when he became the youngest player in Premier League history at 15 years and 181 days old.

Since that historic debut under Mikel Arteta, Nwaneri has continued his rapid rise through the ranks, establishing himself as one of the most coveted talents to emerge from the Hale End academy in recent years.

AC Milan view Nwaneri as an ideal target to bolster their attacking midfield options, valuing his line-breaking vision and exceptional ball control in tight spaces – attributes that would help him adapt seamlessly to Serie A.

Having gathered initial information on a potential deal, Milan are now deciding whether to turn their exploratory approach into a concrete offer before the transfer window closes.

However, Arsenal’s stance remains firm. Arteta and the recruitment team hold Nwaneri in high regard, viewing him as a crucial part of their long-term project at the Emirates Stadium.

With his contract secure, the North London club are under no pressure to sell and have set a valuation of at least €35 million to test the resolve of interested European clubs.

Unless AC Milan or another suitor meets that valuation, Arsenal intend to keep Nwaneri integrated within their first-team plans as they look to compete on multiple fronts next season.

For now, Milan are evaluating their transfer priorities, leaving the ball firmly in the Italian club’s court as they decide whether to meet Arsenal’s demands.
