AC Milan host AS Roma at the San Siro on Sunday in one of Serie A’s standout clashes of the season. Massimiliano Allegri’s men aim to narrow the three-point gap separating them from second-placed Roma.
The Rossoneri have been hit hard by injury problems heading into this encounter. Christian Pulisic is ruled out with a hamstring issue, depriving Allegri of one of his most influential attacking players this campaign. Forward Santiago Giménez remains a major doubt after training individually on Friday. The Mexican is still dealing with the ankle problem he sustained during the 1-1 draw with Atalanta earlier in the week.
There is some positive news, however, as Rafael Leão has shaken off a hip complaint and could feature against the Giallorossi, bolstering Milan’s attacking threat.
Adrien Rabiot continues his rehabilitation from a calf injury and will sit out again, while Pervis Estupiñán is expected to return to the bench after recovering from a thigh strain. Defender Fikayo Tomori is also unavailable due to a pair of minor knocks that have ruled him out of action.
Possible AC Milan starting XI: Maignan; De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Ricci, Bartesaghi; Loftus-Cheek; Leão.
The match will kick off at 7:45pm BST on Sunday, 2nd November.
UK viewers can catch the action live on DAZN, the exclusive broadcaster of Serie A, with coverage also available on TNT Sports 1.
