Five City Academy players have been selected to represent England at the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup 2025.
Dante Headley, Harrison Miles, Ryan McAidoo, Reigan Heskey and Kaden Braithwaite have been named in the 21-man squad.
They’ll be hoping to follow in the footsteps of England’s 2017 World Cup-winning side, which included Academy graduate Phil Foden, who earned the Golden Ball award at the tournament.
Neil Ryan’s young England side will travel to Qatar for the 48-team tournament in November, with his 21-man squad announced earlier today.
England’s World Cup campaign will begin with a clash against Venezuela on Tuesday 4 November, with kick-off scheduled for 15:15 (UK).
Then they will take on Haiti on Friday 7 November at 12:30 (UK) before completing the group stage with a game against Egypt, with the game to begin at 15:45 (UK) on Monday 10 November.
From there, if England advance to the knockout stage, the format will include a Round of 32, Round of 16, quarter-final, semi-final and final to see who will be crowned the best in the world.
All games will be available to watch live on the FIFA+ channel.
Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Dante, Harrison, Ryan, Reigan and Kaden on their call-ups and wish them the very best of luck in the competition.
