Achraf Hakimi jokes about new contract after 200th PSG appearance | OneFootball

Achraf Hakimi captained Paris Saint-Germain in a 3-1 Ligue 1 win over Toulouse on Friday. After full-time he celebrated his 200th appearance for the club.

According to L'Équipe, president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi presented the Morocco right-back with a commemorative medal, prompting him to jokingly ask sporting director Luis Campos for a new contract.

He thanked everyone, said playing for PSG gives him great pleasure and added that he hopes to feature many more times. Campos stepped back laughing at the quip. It was Hakimi’s 11th outing as captain this season, the ninth in Ligue 1.

The 27-year-old has 95 caps and 11 goals for Morocco.

Hakimi joined PSG in summer 2021 and is under contract until June 2029. He sits joint third with Lucas Hernandez in the club’s gross monthly salary list this season on €1.1m, behind Ousmane Dembélé on €1.5m and captain Marquinhos on €1.12m.
