Liverpool have been tipped to shake up their wing options this summer.

Mohamed Salah is leaving having reached an agreement to rip up his £400k per week contract one year early. And Federico Chiesa is likely to join the Egyptian King on the list of Anfield exits.

That adds up to space being made in the squad to accommodate new wide men - with the likes of Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola linked.

Another player in the frame for an Anfield arrival is Bazoumana Toure.

A recent report in SPORTBILD claimed that the outgoing Premier League champions were ready to pull the trigger on a €40m deal for the Hoffenheim 20-year-old.

But Liverpool are going to now have to move very quickly as Sports Boom claims Newcastle have instigated talks with Toure’s employers over a deal.

“The Magpies hierarchy is working intensively to advance negotiations with the German club for Hoffenheim's talented winger Bazoumana Touré,” the report reads.

“Not only have the Magpies entered talks with the Bundesliga giants, but they are doing everything they can to fast-track negotiations.”

Liverpool still have time to add Toure to the squad - a player who made 12 Bundesliga assists last season and is bound for the FIFA World Cup with Cote d’Ivoire.

“It appears that Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Bayern Munich are all eyeing up this one,” the report continues.

“The Champions League clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal are using the European platform they can provide as the biggest tactical advantage.”
