Brentford Women B drew 2-2 with Actonians Thirds in their penultimate Greater London Women's Football League Division One South fixture.

The Bees led twice through Marta Boabonay and Leah Robertson but were pegged back by Actonians either side of half-time as the game ended level.

On seven minutes, Sophie Boycott was called into action in the Brentford net after Actonians capitalised on some sloppy defending but the goalkeeper stood firm one-on-one to make a big save.

A minute later, Boycott started the attack that opened the scoring. After claiming a corner, her long ball found Robertson who spun her defender to square for Boabonay to tap into an open goal and make it 1-0.

Paula Holguin had a great strike tipped over the bar on 14 minutes as the west Londoners looked to stamp their authority on the game.

It was Actonians who scored next though to level the clash halfway through the first half. A loose backpass was picked up by the Actonians striker who rounded Boycott and set up a team-mate to finish into an empty net.

Boabonay had an effort from 20 yards sail just wide and Maï Louvrier created a good opportunity for Karina Hlek, who couldn’t hit the target and the sides went into the break level at 1-1.

Tommy Ryan-Maynard’s side started the second half fast, and Louvrier was denied by another fingertip save seven minutes after the restart.

Then, on 56 minutes, the Bees regained the lead when Robertson scored direct from a corner to make it 2-1.

It looked as though Brentford were going to claim their 14th win of the league campaign, but with just over 10 minutes to play, Actonians levelled the game once more.

The west Londoners are next in action in their final league game of the season away at South London Reserves on Sunday 3 May (12pm kick-off BST).
