Adam Karabec announces Lyon exit after Sparta Prague loan | OneFootball

Adam Karabec, on loan with an option to buy from Sparta Prague, said in an Instagram post on Tuesday that he is leaving Lyon.

Lyon chose not to activate the 3.5 million euro clause, which included bonuses up to 800,000 euros, after paying a 300,000 euro loan fee last summer.

The 22-year-old began brightly, starting regularly from August to November, then his minutes reduced as the season progressed.

He scored one in 21 Ligue 1 appearances, netting against Metz in a 3-0 win on 23 August, on matchday two.

Across all competitions he produced three goals and three assists in 34 matches. The Czech international, capped five times with two goals, was not selected for the World Cup and now returns to Sparta Prague.
