Adam Murray has left Kidderminster Harriers only days after guiding the club to promotion.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 44-year-old former Albion assistant is poised to join Barrow after they triggered a clause in his Aggborough contract. Barrow will also compete in the National League Premier after relegation from League Two.
Murray delivered promotion at the first attempt via the National League North play-offs, beating South Shields 2-0 in Saturday's final.
Chairman Richard Lane praised Murray's honesty and said the financial package on offer made it an opportunity he and his family could not refuse. Murray was a year into a two-year deal. Lane accepted the timing was unfortunate and said the focus now is a swift appointment to lead the new chapter after promotion.
It is the second successive year Harriers have launched a managerial search, after Phil Brown was sacked 12 months ago for failing to win promotion. Lane urged supporters and sponsors to savour this season's achievement and said the club will move forward with positivity.
