Adnane Ghailan is catching the eye at CE Europa, with CD Castellón tracking the ambidextrous winger. El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that the Segunda División club have targeted the Primera RFEF market to good effect, and are monitoring Ghailan. They added Álvaro García, Varo, the division’s top scorer, on Friday.
The 25-year-old, who holds Moroccan and Spanish nationality, grew up in Rocafonda, the same neighbourhood as Lamine Yamal. He now plays for CE Europa, the Gràcia side in Barcelona.
He joined Europa to feature for the reserves, stepping up to the first team in March 2023. His Segunda RFEF debut followed in January 2024 at 23, finishing that campaign with nine appearances and one goal.
In 2024/25 he was central to Europa’s promotion to Primera RFEF, scoring 10 in 36. This term the newly promoted side sit in play-off positions, and Ghailan has four goals in 21, without being an out-and-out finisher.
Before Europa he played for Rocafonda as a child, developed in Mataró’s academy, then featured for Vilassar.
Nicknamed the tailor for the way he unpicks defences, he is an attacking, skilful, ambidextrous wide player. His preferred role is right wing, he drifts inside and can also operate on the left. Dribbling is paired with through balls and a clean strike from mid-range.
