Adonis Frías to be assessed after calf discomfort in São Paulo draw | OneFootball

Santos defender Adonis Frías left the derby against São Paulo with discomfort in his right calf and was taken off at half-time at Vila Belmiro in the second round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the centre-back will be re-evaluated by the club’s medical staff and undergo imaging tests on Thursday.

Before coming off, Frías helped create Santos’ goal, driving forward from the middle and shooting from mid-range. Rafael parried into the box and Zé Rafael finished first time to open the scoring for the Peixe.

A regular in 2026, Frías has featured in seven of Santos’ eight matches this year, among the most used options in defence.

The match ended 1-1, giving Santos their first point of the Campeonato Brasileiro and leaving them 15th in the table. The team visit Noroeste in Bauru on Sunday in the seventh round of the Campeonato Paulista.
