According to Informe Morrocotudo, Sevilla are handling an offer for UD Almería winger Adrián Embarba while they await clarity on whether Rubén Vargas leaves.
Embarba was a standout in Segunda División last season, posting 17 goals and 11 assists. He is under contract until 30 June 2028 and Almería would like to keep him.
The 34-year-old has a free-exit clause if a LaLiga EA Sports club assumes his entire salary, which is a little under €1 million net.
Sevilla have already reshaped their squad for 26/27 with two sales and four arrivals. Tanguy Nianzou has departed, saving around €5 million in wage budget, and the imminent exit of Akor Adams would bring in €23 million including variables. Jon Guridi, Odysseas Vlachodimos, Juan Iglesias and Arouna Sangante have arrived in Nervión.
Embarba came through at Rayo Vallecano, spending six years in the top flight before Espanyol paid €10 million for him. He delivered 11 goals and 18 assists across two and a half seasons there. In 22/23 he moved to Almería to remain in LaLiga, then the club went down the following year.
Despite his age, his form has trended upwards and he could still contribute to Luis García Plaza’s side in pursuit of their targets. Sevilla, meanwhile, plan to listen to all offers amid a difficult sporting and financial spell.
