The Asian Football Confederation said all AFC club matches scheduled for Sunday and Monday in the Middle East, including the Champions League, have been postponed because of strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran.

The standout Champions League tie between Saudi giants Al-Ahli and Qatar’s Al-Duhail, the first leg of the round of 16, had been due to take place on Sunday.

The move covers the confederation’s three leading club competitions, the AFC Champions League Elite, Champions League 2 and the Challenge League. Fixtures in the West region, originally set for two and three March 2026, will be rescheduled.

Other round-of-16 matches affected include Shabab Al-Ahli of Dubai against Iran’s Tractor, and Abu Dhabi side Al-Wahda versus Al-Ittihad.

Matches in the rest of Asia will go ahead as planned.
