Dons have defied expectations so far this term
Jackson, who joined the Dons following their relegation from the third tier back in 2022, oversaw a play-off final victory at Wembley last term against Walsall.
Since their promotion, the south Londoners have started superbly back at the third step, sitting fifth in the table on seven wins in their first 11 games.
Wimbledon had been heavily touted as favourites to go straight back down come the end of the season, but their early form has defied expectations and earned Jackson fresh terms, with the former Charlton boss’ previous deal due to expire at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
Jackson’s assistant manager Terry Skiverton and first-team coach Dave Reddington, formerly of Crystal Palace, have also seen their contracts renewed at Plough Lane.
“We just want to keep building,” Jackson told the club website upon signing his extension.
“We want to keep pushing the club forward. We’ve had some success here already, but we don’t want to stand still, we’ll keep pushing forward and see where we end up.”
In his first season at the helm, Jackson oversaw a tricky transition phase, with the recently-relegated Dons finishing in 21st place in League Two.
The following season, a play-off push petered out late on in the season, culminating in a 10th-placed finish.
Third time was the charm, however, as Jackson led Wimbledon to play-off glory at Wembley, where Myles Hippolyte struck the winner.
