Afonso Moreira on target again as Leverkusen win in Offenbach | OneFootball

Bayer Leverkusen came from behind to beat Regionalliga side Kickers Offenbach 3-1 on Saturday. The hosts took an early lead at Stadion am Bieberer Berg through the former 1860 Munich midfielder Keanu Staude.

Christian Kofane leveled the score for Leverkusen before the half-time break. With almost 1,500 Leverkusen fans making the short trip, the Bundesliga side secured the win with second-half goals from Jonas Hofmann and Moreira, who netted a brace in his debut against Baumberg last week. Leverkusen’s defender Abdoulaye Faye, who spent last season on loan at his former club Lorient, had to be substituted in the first-half due to injury.

Kickers Offenbach celebrated their 125th anniversary with a great atmosphere inside the stadium, thanks to the fan friendship between the two clubs for almost half a century. Carles Martínez’s side will face another Regionalliga side next week with the game against Carl Zeiss Jena.
