However, the end of the Gordon poker does not come as a complete surprise. According to Sky information, Munich are pursuing a multi-pronged transfer strategy this summer, meaning that if a deal falls through, those responsible at Säbener Straße are said to have alternatives up their sleeve

Now a first name has apparently been leaked: as transfer insider Ekrem Konur reports on X, FC Bayern is keeping an eye on Junior Kroupi from AFC Bournemouth

Kroupi is no bargain

The 19-year-old attacker is one of the most exciting young attackers in Europe. His market value is already estimated at €40 million by Transfermarkt. However, the actual transfer fee is likely to be significantly higher in the summer

Bournemouth have no sporting reason to sell the French U21 international on the cheap, but Kroupi is the focus of numerous top clubs after a strong season and could become a real bargain for the Premier League club

A transfer would therefore by no means be easy for FC Bayern. Added to this is the enormous competition. Several heavyweights from the Premier League in particular are said to be interested in the young Frenchman. Arsenal FC have Kroupi on their radar, as do Manchester United and Chelsea FC

But that’s not all: FC Bayern are by no means alone internationally, with Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain also interested in the Bournemouth talent, according to Konur

Bayern is attracted by offensive flexibility

What makes Kroupi particularly interesting for Munich is his versatility: the attacker can not only play as a classic striker, but can also be deployed in attacking midfield or on the left wing

It is precisely this profile that could fit very well at FC Bayern, who are still looking for additional quality in attack and want to broaden their squad. Kroupi could cover several roles at the same time

On the one hand, he would be an option as a backup for Harry Kane in the center of attack. On the other, he could also be deployed on the left flank behind Luis Díaz. The record champions would thus address several construction sites with one transfer

Kroupi showed impressively last season that he can already provide a goal threat at a high level. The 19-year-old scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League games. He had already made a name for himself in France when he became the top scorer in Ligue 2 with 22 goals.
