Vasco are active in the market despite financial constraints and judicial recovery. According to Globo.com, midfielder Johan Rojas and centre-back Alan Saldivia are close to being announced, and the club has set a new priority.
With two areas bolstered, attention now turns to the forward line. Coach Fernando Diniz has indicated a need for a mobile centre-forward to add a different profile alongside Vegetti and GB.
Brenner of Udinese is among the options under consideration. He has worked with Diniz at São Paulo, but talks have not advanced and Udinese’s demands are beyond Vasco’s budget. Udinese would have to accept a loan.
The club are exploring alternative markets for reinforcements. Football director Admar Lopes is targeting players nearing contract expiry or available on loans with options or obligations to buy.
Other positions are being monitored, including left-back where departures are possible. Even so, expanding attacking options is the priority. In defensive midfield, any move will wait until numbers are trimmed.
