Agent tips Real Madrid star to win 2025 Golden Boy award | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has this week been backed to lift the next Golden Boy award.

The player in question? Dean Huijsen.

Youngster Huijsen is for his part of course in the midst of what has been a brilliant start to life in the colours of Real Madrid.

Despite his tender years, and the pressure which comes with a big-money transfer, the 20-year-old has taken to life at world football’s biggest club like a duck to water.

Not only that, but Huijsen has established himself as a leading figure on the international stage, too, already considered a starter in Luis de la Fuente’s star-studded Spain squad.

And as alluded to above, such endeavours have this week seen the stopper tipped to clinch a prestigious individual accolade.

Speaking during an interview with Italian outlet Tuttosport, Ali Barat, Huijsen’s agent, was asked to his name his favourite for the 2025 Golden Boy award.

And Barat’s response proved a head-turning one, as follows:

”Dean Huijsen. For me he will redefine the concept of a central defender, as a certain Franz Beckenbauer did in his time.”
