Manchester United Women will be keen to strengthen their squad this summer.
In the words of head coach Marc Skinner, the season was a bittersweet one for the Red Devils.
United touched the heights of reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League and were minutes away from forcing extra-time against Bayern Munich.
They also made history by reaching their first League Cup final, which they lost to Chelsea.
Sadly, the club did fall away in the second half of the season and finished fourth in the league. This means that they will miss out on European football next season.
Both Jess Park and Maya Le Tissier were named in the WSL Team of the Season, but United will want to strengthen their squad this summer to truly compete for the top trophies next year.
The Athletic reports that United may be keen to take advantage of some uncertainty at Chelsea and swoop for one of their young stars.
The outlet states, Chelsea “academy graduate Beever-Jones is yet to sign a new deal, despite her contract, which has the option to extend for a year, expiring in the summer. The 22-year-old had attracted interest from Manchester United earlier this season.”
What’s more, the fact the Blues have offered a £1 million salary to Manchester City striker Khadija Shaw, “is telling” about their plans for Beever-Jones.
The 22-year-old has played 96 times for Chelsea, scoring 32 goals in all competitions.
She first broke into the Chelsea team during 2020. Beever-Jones has also represented England 16 times and scored seven goals in 13 appearances in 2025.
The forward scored in England’s 6-1 win over Wales in their successful Euro 2025 campaign.
Beever-Jones scored four goals and provided one assist in 17 Women’s Super League matches this season.
