While much of the latter within the Barcelona camp has been about Nico Williams lately, Luis Diaz still remain a key talking point for the club.
The Liverpool ace is the club’s other transfer priority, though they may ultimately have to choose between him and Nico.
Reports on Monday suggested that Nico has overtaken Diaz to become Barcelona’s top target, but that doesn’t necessarily rule out the club’s efforts to sign the Liverpool star.
A recent report from SPORT has offered a comprehensive update on Barcelona’s pursuit of Luis Diaz.
Unfortunately, the report seems to suggest that Liverpool have set forth a strict €80 million price tag on Diaz and are not expected to reduce it even by a single cent.
This is hardly surprising as Liverpool are expected to spend the big bucks on Florian Wirtz and would, therefore, want to bring in as much revenue as possible.

Despite Wirtz’s signing, though, coach Arne Slot hasn’t dumped Diaz out of his plans either and the Colombian is still considered a key outlet in the Liverpool frontline.
That is why the Reds are not budging from their €80 million price tag on Diaz, who remains determined as ever to join the Catalans this summer.
Barcelona, in contrast, have set a strict €60 million limit on Diaz, beyond which the club won’t even entertain the idea of signing the Colombian international.
Given the insurmountable difference in the player valuation and neither club being open to altering their stance, the likelihood of an agreement between Barcelona and Liverpool appear to be near impossible at the moment.
This could ultimately shift the focus back to Nico Williams, who may likely emerge as the club’s one and only transfer priority.
