Ainhoa Marín, born in 2001 in Badalona, has joined Real Sociedad from Deportivo on a deal to 2028. The club announced the signing on Wednesday.
The skilful winger ranked second for completed dribbles in Liga F Moeve this season with 122, and added six goals and five assists.
Marín said she is excited to help Real Sociedad and offered her congratulations to the squad for achieving Champions League qualification.
Developed at Barcelona B from 2013 to 2018, she moved on to Espanyol and was part of Spain’s Under-17 World Cup-winning set-up in Uruguay in 2018. An ankle injury curtailed her involvement with the squad during that tournament.
After two top-flight seasons with Espanyol, she stepped down a division to play for Seagull, then returned to the elite with Deportivo, where she featured from 2021 to 2026. Her consistency and competitive edge made her an important figure.
She now returns to Zubieta, a venue she knows from the Donosti Cup during her youth, to begin a new chapter as a txuri-urdin player. There she will make her Champions League debut.
