Ajax sign Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo in €19.9m transfer from Al-Hilal | OneFootball

Ajax have agreed the signing of Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo from Al-Hilal for €19.9m. L'Équipe reports that he is their second Brazilian arrival of this window.

The Amsterdam club had earlier brought in former Monaco player Caio Henrique for €14m including bonuses, and welcomed former Netherlands international Daley Blind back on a free.

Leonardo, 23, moved to Saudi Arabia in 2024 after a strong season with Benfica.

Across two seasons in the Gulf, he stood out by scoring twice against Manchester City in the 2025 Club World Cup quarter-final, which finished 4-3 after extra time.

He joins Ajax on a five-year contract running through to 2031.
