Akor Adams’s move to Venecia FC delivers a major cash injection for Sevilla FC, easing LaLiga registration issues and strengthening their stance over Oso and Rubén Vargas.

Diario de Sevilla reports that the Nigerian striker has arrived in Italy to finalise the transfer. Sevilla will receive 17 million euros guaranteed, rising to almost 23 million depending on variables, half of them easy to achieve. Adams joined in January 2025 from Montpellier for 5.5 million, making the deal highly profitable.

The funds land with more than three weeks to spare before the league opener against Rayo Vallecano, a timely boost that helps resolve fair play restrictions which had blocked registrations.

Priority is to register goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos, with the position currently vacant in LaLiga’s official list. The club can then process Sangante, Guridi and Juan Iglesias, and regularise Rubén Vargas, Alfon, Oso and Castrín.

The income also fortifies Sevilla’s negotiating hand. The stance not to let Oso go for under 10 million euros remains, and the same applies to Rubén Vargas after his standout World Cup with Switzerland.

Beyond potential exits for Joan Jordán, Rafa Mir, Cardoso and Gattoni, the recruitment team led by José Ignacio Navarro must seek a centre forward to replace Adams. Crucially, that search can proceed without the urgency of recent windows.
