Al-Ahli ‘to move for’ Barcelona’s Marc Casadó after Yaissle exit | OneFootball

Al-Ahli have accelerated their interest in Barcelona midfielder Marc Casadó following Matthias Jaissle’s exit, with the Spaniard now viewed as a prime target.

According to Goal.com, Casadó was not considered while Jaissle was in post, but sporting director Roy Pedro has since presented him to the new coach and initial communication has begun.

Barcelona omitted Casadó from their recent trip to Italy alongside Roony Bardghji, a call Hansi Flick said he made in consultation with the club’s management. That appeared to increase the likelihood of a departure.

The report added that Al-Hilal had already entered the race before Al-Ahli made their enquiry.

Casadó is represented by Jorge Mendes.
