Al Hilal will head into next week’s potential Roshn Saudi League title-decider at Al Nassr on an absolute high - as the 2025-26 King’s Cup winners.
The Riyadh club, looking to clinch a domestic double this season, came from behind to defeat Al Kholood 2-1 in Jeddah on Friday night, where goals from Nasser Al Dawsari and Theo Hernandez secured the trophy.
Al Kholood, never before this far in Saudi Arabia’s marquee competition, had taken the lead at Alinma Stadium on four minutes through the returning Ramiro Enrique.

The Argentine, who is enjoying a superb debut campaign in the RSL - he has 15 goals in 26 matches - raced free to drive a low shot past Al Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bono.
However, Al Hilal rallied to strike twice at the end of the first half, first on 42 minutes when Nasser controlled Karim Benzema’s header to drill his half-volley past Al Kholood stopper Juan Pablo Cozzani.
The 2023-24 champions then snatched the lead in stoppage-time, this time Benzema’s inadvertent touch teed up French compatriot Hernandez, who fired home from the end of the penalty area.

The victory, Simone Inzaghi’s first title since joining last summer from Inter Milan, will do wonders for Al Hilal’s confidence heading into their much-anticipated Matchweek 32 Capital Derby against Al Nassr next Tuesday.
Al Nassr top the table by five points from Al Hilal and know, should they win at their Al Awwal Park, they will clinch a first championship crown since 2019. Al Hilal do, though, have a game in hand.
