Al-Hilal edging closer to Ndiaye deal but Everton want €95m | OneFootball

Everton talisman Iliman Ndiaye is a target for Al-Hilal. They are in negotiations with the Toffees for the Senegal international, and a deal is ‘very close’.

Per Sky Sport Switzerland, Everton want €80 million plus another €15m in bonuses, while the Gulf club wants to pay a much lower fee.

Still, there is an expectation that they will agree on a sum. He is discussing personal terms. His demands to leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium are quite high, but doable.

Everton will be losing a key figure in attack if they let Ndiaye go. The 26-year-old registered six goals and three assists in 32 Premier League appearances.

His ability to play in multiple attacking positions also proved valuable to Toffees boss David Moyes, who relied on Ndiaye to provide the X-factor they needed in attack.

Ndiaye attempted 136 dribbles and completed 73, 77 and 46 more than any other Everton player.

Also, his total of 147 take-ons attempted topped all Toffees players last season.

Ndiaye contested more duels than any of his teammates (409), and won the ball back in the final third more than any of them (26 recoveries).

Losing him would be quite the blow for Everton as there are not many players that can replicate what he does for the Merseyside club in the attacking third.

Who should Everton sign to replace Ndiaye if he leaves?

If Everton sell Ndiaye, they will need a ready-made replacement for him, someone who should produce even better performances.

One option the club should be looking at is Bologna’s Jonathan Rowe, who has caught the eye in Serie A.

The talented, young Englishman bagged eight goals and five assists in 44 appearances across all competitions and could be a terrific pick-up for the Toffees.

Other alternatives Everton should consider include Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
