In the last few hours, The Telegraph has revealed a detail that may have added fuel to the fire for the former Manchester United man. As Benzema arrived at his new club, he reportedly sent a playful message to his former Real Madrid teammate, joking that he’d not only secured a raise but would be crowned Saudi champion again this season, just as he was last year.

But now, things seem to be returning to normal. According to Saudi media, the Portuguese star will end his strike after receiving assurances from management that “the mistakes made recently would be corrected in order to restore stability.”
