Al-Hilal 'to offer' €25 million net and €120 to €150 million for Bayern's Luis Diaz | OneFootball

A report claims Al-Hilal are pushing to sign Bayern Munich forward Luis Diaz with a net salary of about €25 million per year, and that talks have begun with his camp.

The Saudi Pro League runners-up are said to be building on the arrival of Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United as they seek further high-profile attackers.

Richard Hughes is reportedly fronting negotiations despite remaining Liverpool’s sporting director, with a switch to Al-Hilal only expected after the window shuts in early September. Diaz and Hughes overlapped briefly at Anfield in 2024 before the Colombian moved to Munich in 2025.

There has been no contact yet with Bayern, and Al-Hilal would only approach the German champions if they first reach agreement with Diaz. To tempt Bayern, as much as €120 to €150 million from a €350 million summer budget could be allocated.

Whether this push succeeds is doubtful. At 29, Diaz is in his prime at a team that narrowly lost last season’s Champions League semi-final to Paris Saint-Germain.

Bayern do not wish to sell a player signed from Liverpool for €70 million in 2025 on a contract to 2029, and who is central to Vincent Kompany’s plans. A €150 million offer might be considered, but replacing him would be costly.

Diaz has 26 goals and 23 assists in 51 Bayern appearances. After Colombia’s World Cup last-16 exit to Switzerland on penalties, he missed the start of pre-season and a 1-2 defeat to Wehen Wiesbaden, will skip the Tegernsee camp, and is due to resume on the Asia tour from 1 August.
