Al-Nassr have named Jorge Jesus as their new manager, bringing the Portuguese coach back to the Roshn Saudi League, according to Saudi Pro League reports. The club confirmed the appointment on Monday, with Jesus agreeing to a one-year contract as he takes over at the Riyadh-based team.

The 70-year-old arrives with a wealth of experience in Saudi football, having previously managed Al Hilal over two separate spells. Most recently, Jesus guided Al Hilal to second place in the RSL before departing in May. Now at Al-Nassr, he'll be tasked with ending a seven-year wait for a league title.

Jesus’ club history in the region stands out. During his time with Al Hilal, he repeatedly positioned them among the top contenders, demonstrating a keen tactical approach and the ability to get results quickly. Al-Nassr, for their part, will seek to benefit from both his regional knowledge and fresh impetus as they look to challenge their local rivals.

The appointment signals an immediate ambition at Al-Nassr following a season that fell short of domestic expectations. With only a one-year agreement, the club is clearly focused on swift progress and tangible results. Jesus’ record suggests he is well suited for such a mandate, as his previous stints in the Middle East have shown an ability to adapt and build competitive sides at pace.

With Al-Nassr set on reclaiming supremacy in the Saudi League, all eyes will be on how quickly Jesus can impose his methods and revive their title challenge.
