Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram has endured a disappointing season by his standard and could be on his way out in the summer.
According to L’Interista, the Frenchman’s wastefulness in front of goal has been frustrating.
Despite being a key attacking option for the Nerazzurri, Marcus Thuram has failed to hit his stride under new boss Cristian Chivu.
Indeed, the 29-year-old has netted just seven goals in 22 Serie A appearances, adding three assists.
Furthermore, he has only scored three times since the calendar year flipped to 2026, last finding the net in a 5-0 rout of Sassuolo in early February.
Thuram won the Scudetto in his first season at San Siro, playing a prominent role in Simone Inzaghi’s setup.
Moreover, he has forged a formidable attacking partnership with Lautaro Martinez, with the duo helping Inter reach the Champions League final last term.
However, the wheels have fallen off this season, with Thuram often falling short of expectations.
For perspective, the former Borussia Monchengladbach ace has wasted 14 clear-cut chances so far in 2025/26.
Indeed, that’s double the number of opportunities he has actually converted.
Though it’s unrealistic to expect him to score every chance, this conversion rate falls well short of the standards for a player of his caliber.
