Kristjan Asllani was solid but unspectacular for Inter Milan in yesterday’s 1-0 Serie A victory over Genoa.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Kristjan Asllani got the nod in midfield in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Genoa yesterday.
Hakan Calhanoglu had been looking far from his best in a recent run of starts. Therefore, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi decided to go with Asllani instead.
It was certainly not a bad performance from Asllani.
There were no errors from the Albanian international. He showed his technical polish and consistency to keep things very tidy in the centre of the pitch.

Asllani kept possession circulating well in the first half. He also attempted to increase the tempo during the second half.
However, there was a bit of a lack of ambition from Kristjan Asllani.
Apart from a couple promising balls forward the former Empoli midfielder didn’t really do much to set Inter on the attack.
Then in the second half, Hakan Calhanoglu came off the bench to replace Asllani.
The Turkish international would go on to assist Lautaro Martinez with a perfectly-taken corner.
And that somewhat summed up the lack of something magic from Asllani’s display.
