Alberto Costa named I Liga young player for April by players’ union | OneFootball

Alberto Costa has been voted the I Liga young player of the month for April by the Sindicato dos Jogadores.

According to O Jogo, the FC Porto right-back, 22, was confirmed as the winner on Thursday.

He took 13.48% of the vote, finishing ahead of Famalicão duo Rodrigo Pinheiro on 10.78% and Gustavo Sá on 10.73%.

Costa featured in four league matches for FC Porto in April, producing one goal and two assists.

He scored in the 2-2 draw with Famalicão at Estádio do Dragão.

His assists came in away wins at Estoril, 3-1, and Estrela da Amadora, 2-1.
