Albion’s Second Tier Season Comparison – 10 games

Gambar artikel:Albion’s Second Tier Season Comparison – 10 games

The Baggies returned to winning ways at the Hawthorns with a well deserved victory over Preston North End in what was an end-to-end match that the hosts won with two moments of quality. It was only the second time this season that Albion had scored twice in a game, and the first time at home, and it brought Mikey Johnston’s second goal of the campaign and Isaac Price’s fourth.

Johnston’s superb strike capped off a man-of-the-match performance for the Irish international who looked the Baggies’ most dangerous player throughout and, according to WhoScored.com, he is now Albion’s best performing player this season.

The result moved Ryan Mason’s team above Preston into fourth place at full time, although Leicester City’s point against Portsmouth in the evening kick-off pushed them down to fifth on goal difference by the end of the day. It remains very tight in the play-off places with only three points separating third place from eleventh.
