Aleksandar Stankovic has opened up about his future and his enduring bond with Inter, admitting that a return to the Nerazzurri remains his ultimate objective.

Speaking to Sky Italia, the Club Brugge midfielder reflected on his growth in Belgium while making no secret of his desire to follow in his father Dejan’s footsteps at San Siro.

Stankovic expressed his deep affection for the Milanese club, stating – via Calciomercato: “Inter is a unique love , either you have it inside you or you don’t. Inter fans can understand. Coming back is a dream in the drawer, I don’t know when it will come true. The advice that my dad gave me as a child and that I still follow today is to always put the team crest in front of the player’s surname.”

The young midfielder has impressed during his time away from Italy, leading to significant interest from several Premier League teams.

Despite the links to English football, the situation remains firmly in the hands of the Italian champions. Inter maintained a buyback option when they sanctioned his move to Brugge, giving them total control over his next step.
