Real Madrid will clash heads with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this Tuesday night as they look to defend their 3-0 lead from the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie. Los Blancos managed to earn a dominant 4-1 win over Elche recently, so they would be full of confidence going into this game.

Alvaro Arbeloa will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first XI for this clash. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Arda Guler could both play from the start of this game.

4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Manchester City

Defence

Thibaut Courtois will operate in between the sticks for Los Blancos after conceding one goal in his last outing. Antonio Rudiger will function alongside Dean Huijsen at the heart of the Real Madrid backline as they look to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Fran Garcia hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.

Dani Carvajal will offer cover for the right-back position on the bench.

Midfield

Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde will make up Real Madrid’s midfield. Their main focus would be to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineer some decent chances to score on the counter.

Thiago Pitarch Pinar and Manuel Angel will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second half if needed.

Attack

Vinicius Jr. will try to put his pace to good use as the left-sided wide player, while Brahim Diaz looks to make a difference on the right flank.

Arda Guler will spearhead Arbeloa’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real threat in the final third.

Gonzalo Garcia will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Los Blancos are in need of a goal by then.
