According to Marca, AS Monaco’s chief doctor, Alexandre Creuzé, is expected to join Real Madrid, taking charge of the first team under the supervision of another specialist.
Monaco had already signalled a summer of change across the club, with several departures at the end of last season and the appointment of new head coach Filipe Luis.
Creuzé has not yet committed to Madrid and remains under contract with Monaco. An agreement could be finalised soon if all parties reach full accord.
At the club since 2018, the 45-year-old was promoted to chief doctor in summer 2024 and has served in the role for two years. If confirmed, his exit would not be a major surprise after a season many inside the club considered especially gruelling.
Creuzé is understood to have lost influence in recent months and was not always able to work as he wished due to the presence of Vadim Khetagov. There is nothing to indicate that any likely departure would be driven by these factors.
Placed at the club by president Dmitri Rybolovlev, Russian kinesiologist Khetagov saw his remit expand last season and his methods have divided opinion. The report said Madrid want Creuzé to help resolve issues in their medical department highlighted in recent months.
It remains to be seen whether Monaco will move to replace him if the move is confirmed.
