Alidu Seidu to have Friday medical at Nice ahead of loan with no option to buy | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Nice are set to take Rennes defender Alidu Seidu on a season-long loan with no option to buy.

He was in Rennes' squad for Wednesday's 0-0 Europa League draw at Sturm Graz.

The Ghanaian, 26, is due to arrive on the Côte d'Azur on Thursday evening and undergo his medical checks on Friday.

Talks had initially centred on a loan with a purchase clause, but the parties could not agree, so the move will be a straight loan until the end of the season.

Nice aim to finalise the paperwork by Friday afternoon to meet the 48-hour registration window, which would allow him to be available for the home game against Lille on Sunday at 17:15.

The deal had paused for a few days, mainly while Ineos signed off the recruitment, and he has now been authorised to proceed.
