Football League World asked ChatGPT to rank all 24 EFL League One club badges ahead of the 2026/27 season
Notts County beat Salford City in the League Two play-off final, completing the full set of clubs for the 2026/27 League One season.
County reached the third tier alongside automatically promoted trio Bromley, Milton Keynes Dons, and Cambridge United, who all have badges that weren't present in League One for the 2025/26 campaign.
The third tier has also waved goodbye to the crests belonging to Lincoln City and Cardiff City, who won automatic promotion to the Championship, while Bolton Wanderers beat fellow Greater Manchester side Stockport County in the play-off final to book their spot in the second tier.
At the other end of the table, Exeter City, Port Vale, Rotherham United, and Northampton Town all suffered relegation to League Two and will hope for better fortune in the fourth tier.
With the 2026/27 set of League One clubs complete, Football League World asked ChatGPT to rank all 24 sides' badges from worst to best.
Burton Albion are a long-serving League One club, having suffered relegation from the Championship to the third tier back in 2018.
Albion are nicknamed The Brewers due to the town's association with brewing beer, but ChatGPT has concluded that their club badge still looks more like a pub logo than a football crest.
Bromley defied expectations by winning the League Two title in 2026, having only won promotion to the EFL from the National League in 2024.
However, according to AI, their badge is functional rather than memorable.

MK Dons were pleased to win automatic promotion to League One alongside Bromley, sealing their return to the third tier for the first time since suffering relegation in 2023.
However, ChatGPT says that their badge is sleek but soulless compared to traditional crests.

Mansfield Town have done well to establish themselves as a solid League One outfit since winning promotion from League Two in 2024, while they also enjoyed an FA Cup clash with eventual Premier League winners Arsenal in March.
Nigel Clough's side are nicknamed the Stags, but when describing their badge, ChatGPT said it had decent stag imagery but had an awkward overall shape.

Stevenage enjoyed one of the more notable seasons in their modern history, reaching the League One play-offs, but they were ultimately beaten by Stockport in the semi-finals.
AI has concluded that Stevenage have 'modern badge syndrome', presumably due to their crest's circular shape, but that their crest isn't terrible.

Having spent some of their modern history in both the Premier League and the Championship, Wigan Athletic have once again become accustomed to their League One surroundings.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT thinks that the Latics' badge is tidy but generic.

Cambridge won promotion back to League One, meaning they will be competing alongside the likes of Wigan next season.
However, AI was not overly complimentary about their badge, stating that it is clean and respectable without standing out.

Leicester didn't envisage being relegated to League One ahead of the 2026/27 season, as they were instead plotting an immediate Premier League return.
Following the Foxes' poor on-field showings, ChatGPT has also criticised their badge, saying that the fox logo is iconic, but may be too corporate now.

Wycombe Wanderers missed out on the League One play-offs and will have to wait at least another season before landing a Championship return.
Meanwhile, despite the Chairboys' relatively low position in these particular rankings, AI spoke highly of their badge, saying that the swan is memorable, even if busy.

ChatGPT also praised Notts County's badge, describing it as very old-school and elegant.
The Magpies can still be delighted with their promotion for now, but they have plenty of work to do to hold their own against sides like Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday.
